Ekali

Garden of a private house in Ekali. The construction of the garden, with an area of 350 m2, started on September 8, 2007 and was completed on the 26th of the same month.

It is a garden, with the strong presence of very large pines, a fact that made it difficult and significantly limited the choice of plant material. Due to the intense and dense existence of the roots of the pines, it was created in the first 10cm. of the soil, an almost impenetrable layer, which made it difficult to install the irrigation network and install the finished lawn. So we proceeded to remove 20cm. soil and the addition of new, with excellent granulometric composition.

A ready-made lawn of a variety that is resistant to intense shading (reaching 80% in winter) and that retains its intense green color throughout the year was installed.

Laurel nobilis (Laurus nobilis) and Lucibum (Viburnum lusidum) were planted around the green area, while in the garden areas with even greater shading, mainly under pine trees, clusters of plants were created that require very little or no sunshine.

A fully automated irrigation system was installed throughout the garden using solenoid valves and a central stop control programmer. Pop up for lawn irrigation and a self-adjusting drip pipe for watering trees and shrubs were used.
