Arachova (Livadi)

Garden of a private house in Arachova. Construction began in July and was completed in late August 2007. The construction took about two months to complete.

The area of the plot is about 6000 m2 while the clean green space is 4500 m2. This is a large garden with special requirements since it is located at an altitude of about 1300 m. A ready-made lawn of a psychophilic variety was installed with excellent resistance to the low winter temperatures and a very good green color throughout the year.

Cupland (Cupressocyparis Leilandi) was planted as a tall plant fence around the plot, while the main ornamental trees in the garden were selected: Platanus (Platanus orientalis), Aria (Quersus ilex), Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) and Pinus (E) Abies sp.). In addition, ornamental plums (Prunus pissardi) and apple trees (Malus domestica) were planted, while great attention was paid to the selection of shrubs due to the large temperature changes during the year. Shrubs were selected so that throughout the year there is a change in the color of the foliage and the flower of the plants.

In order to meet the needs of the owner in a parking lot, a parking lot of 50 m2 was constructed from a special high-strength plastic cobblestone, and then it was sown with a special variety of turf.

A fully automated irrigation system was installed throughout the garden using solenoid valves and a central stop control programmer. Pop up for lawn irrigation and a self-adjusting drip pipe for watering trees and shrubs were used.
